Democracy comes to Heywood Prep

On Thursday 8th June the Country will be going to the Polls to elect a new Prime Minister or to give the current one the mandate to continue for the next 4 years.

At the same time, Heywood Prep will be holding their own election to decide if the four main parties, Vision, Progress, Transform or Tomorrow will be elected here.

Over the past few days, the party leaders have been out campaigning in assemblies and form tutors have been discussing with the children what it is about each of the manifestos that appeals to them and which parties they might vote for.

We have all registered to vote and will be given Polling Cards.  Tomorrow, as around the country, we will be filling in our ballot papers and the name of the winning party will be announced before the end of school (unless there has to be recount!).
