Jousting Lego robot knights!
At our Medieval Mahem Opend Day, ye olde Year 5 children partook in training their own robot-steed to compete in the noble art of jousting. The jousting field consisted of a black line that their horse had to travel down to the right, passing the opposing steed half way. The horse used its sensors to track the edge of the line, compensating the speed of the individual motor to make minute adjustments as necessary. As it is a noble sport, the difficulty was also increased to make the knight start his run on the herald's cry, levelling their lances and charging!
