Year 6 dig into archaeology
Year 6 have been learning about fossilisation. How better to get to grips with the subject than by recreating the process using play dough, plaster of Paris and plastic dinosaurs! We discussed how fossils provide evidence to support Darwin's theory of evolution, and how sediment and minerals formed rock-like copies of long-dead organisms.
It was a bit messy, but after wiping away the dough we saw our beautifully formed fossils. Well done everyone!
